A pane , of glass fell and struck Zellner's .head causing the injury. No hos pitallzalion was required after V treatment by a Woodburn physi- R. J. Blanchette received several ' broken ribs when he fell while ''watching the fire. Blanchette oper ates a barber shop which adjoins the bank building. No hospitaliza tion was required after medical ' treatment was given. B. Ford, local educator, were the highlights of this week's meeting of the Parent Teacher Association, with Earl Chalfan, in charge. Edwin Heppner, head of the de partment of music of the local schools, presented a group of 55 student singers from the Union High'sch'oo) in two brief programs. The panel educational hour, with Mr. Ford as leader, concerned the evaluation of various levels of learning from the slower-to-learn, to the higher mental capabilities, with several in - between possibil ities that must be met by the successful teacher. Telling of cases suggestive of at least four levels were Mrs. C. J. Towc, Mrs. Carlene King, Carl Jorgenson, and Miss Mary Ann Hogan. Ifi City po lice Thursday night arrested Wil liam Guy Cole Jr., 21, who said he was an escapee from the Washington state prison at Walla Walla. Ralph Fettertey, assistant po lice chief, said Cole told him he had walked away from a work gang there Oct. 28. Cole said he I was serving a term for second- degree assault, Fettcrley said.
