Toastmistress Club MILL CITY ISpcciall-Mrs. John Pridcaux presided at the business meeting of the Mill City Toast mistress club when that group met at Mari-Linn school cafeteria at Lyons last week. The invocation was given by Mrs. Al Westley and .'Mrs. Marshall Powell was toast mistress. Mrs. Powell arranged a panel discussion on "The Working Mother" with Mesdames Joe 11. Johnson, Nels Ingram, Al Nesbitt, Gayle Lowery and Marshall Powell taking part. Tnpicmistress for the evening was Mrs. Guy Hartle, who arrang ed topics on "My Most Unforgeta ble Character." Quarterly Meeting of Altar Society Sunday MOUNT ANGEL (Special) More than a hundred members of the St. Ann's society of St. Mary's parish were in attendance at the winter quarterly meeting held Sun day afternoon in the meeting room of St. Mary's school. In the annual election of officers those reelected were Mrs. Henry Geek, president; Mrs. J. A. Kaiser, secretary and Mrs, Albert Uhing, treasurer. Mrs. E, A. Hammer was elected vice-president, suc ceeding Mrs. Joseph C. Schmidt, who was not a candidate for re election. Members discussed as their future project the financing of rub ber kneelers on the pews in St. Mary's church. A number of knee lers will be purchased annually. The annual parish dinner on Sun day, March 31, was announced by Mrs. Del mar Lulay, general chair man for the dinner. Mrs. Lulay served as co-chairman of last year's dinner, and she will have Mrs. George Vachter as her as sisting co-chairman this year. The Rev. Cyril Lebold, 0. S. B. pastor, was the speaker at the meeting. Annual reports were submitted by Hie officers.
