Salem, Oregon, Friday, Grand Jurors Indict French For Checks Donnie Rae French, Oakland. Calif., is accused of obtaining money by false pretenses in an in dictment returned against him Thursday by a Marion county grand jury. French was one of five persons indicted by the jury. One indictment was secret. French is accused of passing two checks on a LaGrande bank, one for J20 and the olher for $6. Local Paragraphs Stolen Car Recovered Police Thursday night recovered a car that had been stolen from James Hall, Arnold, road resident, and ar rested the man who took it, who was Allen Jacob Parker, an es capee from Oregon state hospital.
