EISENHOWER AND McKAY PARTNERS FOR PEACE
as The Oregonian, November 2, 1956 says:
i
about Morse: about McKay:
"In a time 'of international crisis, Oregon
citizens do not have the moral right to
resign from the Union and send back to
Washington a senator whose bitterness,
frustration and hatred of the president
can and will be used to endanger the
unity of the nation."
Remember. .
A VOTE FOR MORSE IS
Cast your vote for world peace
"Oregon citizens do have the moral
obligation to elect to the Senate a man
who by character and inclination works
easily and constructively with his col
leagues; a man who is not a maverick
and headline hunter, seeking always
his own aggrandizement, but who is
as steady, as sound and as sensible as
any statesman Oregon has produced."
