Nieswander, 57, Mowing a lonK ill

19th St., Salem.
Nieswander had liecn an em

the Keizer area until his retire
ment about two years aso on ac
count of ill health. Previously he
had worked 14 years for the state
highway department. At another

Funeral Set
LEBANON (Special) Mrs. Ida
T. Kleinschmit, 60, of Scio, died
Oct. 17 at the Lebanon Community
hospital after an extended illness.
She had lived at Scio for the past
five years, and at Lncomb for
a few years previously.
She was born Feb. 15, 1890, at
Bow Valley, Neb.
Rosary will be Friday at 7:30
p.m.' at (he Huston chapel, and
funeral services will be Saturday
at 10 a.m. at St. Edwards Catho
lic church, both In Lebanon. The
Rev. Pius P. Ilnur will officiate.
Burial will be in the Catholic sec
tion of the IOOF cemetery here.
She is survived by two daugh
ters, Mrs. Alice Hamilton of Al
bany and Mrs. Gladys Landers of
Scio; by four sons, Ivo Klein
schmit of Nebraska, Earl of La
comb, Richard of Crnbtrco and
Joe of Lebanon; a brother, Her
man Uhing of Nebraska: two sis
ters, Mrs. Theresa Wichclhnus,

LEBANON (Special) - William
Waller Miller, 79. of Scio died at
his home Oct. 17. He had spent
his entire life near Scio.
. He was horn July 12, 1877, at
Scio, land married Emma Rahn
Feb. 4, 1903, at Albany.
He is survived by his wife; three
sisters, Mrs. Sophia Rhodn and
Mrs. Lou Arnold of Scio, and Mrs.
Ida Sheltnn of Itellfountnin; and
by several nieces and nephews.
Services will he Saturday at 2
p.m. al the Baptist church in Scio.

lin Butte cemetery at Scio. Hous

Oct. 15, 19111 at Brock, Sask, Can
ada, and came to Portland in
1924 and to Dallas in 1932. He
served with the Canadian Expedi
tionary Force in World War I and
was a mcmncr ol tne American
Legion and the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Dallas;
a daughter, Mildred E. Slradley,
ICugene; a son, Joseph B. East
man, Seattle; and a sister, Annettn
Patterson, Edmonton8, Alberta,
Canadn.
