Sun Shines for
Children's Party
MOLALLA The sun finally
shone through a foggy morning,
at noon Saturday when hundreds
of children, with their parents,
thronged the downtown area of
Molalla. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie
Clarke, as has been their custom
for a number of years, showed
movies free to the children in
their Molalla theater.
After the show ended, Santa
came to town in the fire truck,
loaded high with many bags of
treats that were distributed to
the children. Molalla Chamber
of Commerce and Molalla mer
chants sponsored the giving of
the candies, nuts and oranges
that filled each of the sacks.
More than 1,200 bags were filled
for distribution.
