We continued writing anil he asked me y matryiim. I Mid yes.
He wants me to come ouPto his camp to ?9mared since ne yon'l
be home again for about two months. 1 want to go, but my people
sa I should wait until he comes home. I am 24 '& have spent
most of my life working for my family; now I think it's time 1
though of myself. W. H. G.
ANSWER: Are you sure 'you really love
Ralph, or are you grabbing him as a means of
getting away from home? Do you regard him
as a future husband to love and cherish, or is he
.just a liberator?
Your acquaintance with him was so short 1
really think a second look will do no hurm. Why
not wait the two months until he comes home?
If your meeting brings assurance of your love
and his, marry and go with him.

PRESUMPTUOUS BOY
DEAR MISS DIX: I met Oliver at a dance not long agp. Dur
ing the evening 1 danced with him, as well as with another friend
of mine. Oliver asked to take me home and asked for a date, but
told me if he ever took me out I wasn't to dance with anyone
else. Well, this week he did take me to a dance and an old friend
of mine asked if he could have one dance. I don't see how I could
have refused but Oliver took me home without saying a word, and
ceived three bids for a. grade sep
aration on South Sixth St. in Klam
ath Falls with each of them run
ning close to a million dollars.
The apparent low offer was by
Tom Lillebo of Rcedsport at W99,
964. The figures were being anal
ysed and were to be presented at
the afternoon session for possible
award.
Next low was Kuckenberg Con
struction Co., Portland. $935,490.
followed by Rogers Construction
Co.. Portland, $942,278.
The project is for an 836-foot
steel and concrete grade separa
tion carrying the Klamath Falls
Lakeview Highway over the South
ern Pacific Railroad tracks on
South Sixth St.
A condemnation suit has been
filed to get title to some of the
property and speed construction.
The grade separation job. which
is to be completed by August, 1957,
was the biggest one on which bids
were' opened Tuesday. Others -include,

never act that way again?
ANSWER: You would be a foolish girl to call Oliver and
apologize for something that needed no defense. An acquaintance
of one night has no right to demand exclusive rights to anything.
If you admit a wrong where one docsn t exist, you re letting your
self in for something unpleasant. Surely you have more spunk.
DEAR MISS DIX: I have been going with a boy for two years
and we want to get married this year. My parents, however, insist
that I go to college. If 1 went, I would be interested only in the
social life, as there is nothing I care to study. My boy friend
and I are both of age and he is making a good salary at a job that
promises unlimited advancement. tllcn
ANSWER: Under the circumstances, your parents would In
deed be foolish to insist on college. Not everyone is suited to a
college education and it's better to admit it at the beginning, there
by saving time and money. Perhaps one of your high-school tcacn-
ers could convince your parents that you and higncr education
simply wouldn't agree.

DEAR MISS DIX: I am very fond of a boy named Jack and
we get along fine. However, I simply cannot bring myself to eat
out with him. Even when I'm starved and he suggests a hamburger
I say no. How can I overcome this failing? Frieda

you talk it over with Mom. If you have Jack to the house for a
meal or two in the presence of your family, the inhibition may be
overcome.
