Pilot Killed in
Dusting Plane
LA GRANDE W-A crop dusting
plane crashed after striking a
power line here Saturday, killing
the pilot, Louis E. Coffey, 37, of
Baker. (
Coffey, manager of the Oregon
Trail Skyways at Baker, was
employed by the Blue Mountain
Air Service, a crop dusting firm,
at the time of the accident.
The widow and two daughters
of Baker, and his mother, Mrs.
Ernie- Taylor, Lewiston, Idaho,
survive.

Council's Boy Scout outing cen
ter in the upper Santiam is
nearly completed, Kenneth Jury,
camp director and district Boy
Scout executive, announces. The
camp will operate during the
four week period, July 11-Au-gust

Camp Pioneer is located in the
Mt Jefferson primitive area of
the Willamette national forest at
an elevation of 4600 feet It is
nine miles south of Marion Forks
and seven miles off the North
Santiam highway.
One of the camp's principal at
tractions is the five-day "Skyline

shower house with hot and cold
water; a large waterfront area
with separate and protected areas
for nonswimmers, beginners and
swimmers as well as many row-
boats and canoes.
Each boy must undergo a phy
sical examination before going to
camp from his family physician
unless otherwise provided. Cher

examinations at the YMCA at
7:30, July 8:15, 22 and 29.

ed leader of a bandit trio who
murdered an Iowa farmer during
a robbery Feb, 2 was added to
the FBI's list ot "10 Most Wanted
Men" Monday.
He is David Daniel Keegan, a
fugitive wanted in the slaying of
William Edward, 51, In His farm
house near Mondamin, Iowa.
Keegan takes the place on the
"10 Most Wanted" list of John
Alfred Hopkins, arrested by the
FBI June 7 at Beowawe, Nev.
