Nunan on Trial For Tax Evasion

as a government witness in the
trial of. Joseph D. Nunan Jr. '
Nunan, former head of the Bu
reau of Internal Revenue, is charg
ed with evading $91,086 in U. S.
income taxes for the period be
tween 1946 and 1950.
Finnegan, 54, is now serving a
two-year sentence at the federal
penitentiary at Terre Haute. Ind.,
for misconduct in office. He was
convicted for representing law
firms in dealing with the govern
ment while he still was a govern
ment employe.
