The census, which is under the auspices of the Silverton Ministerial Associa tion, will attempt to determine the church affiliation of each family in the community with a view to helping the churches serve the spiritual needs of the comunity more effectively. Pastor J. A. Luthro, president of the Ministerial Association, states: "We deeply appreciate the splendid cooperation of the pas tors and church people in carry ing out this census and we earnestly hope that the people of Silverton will appreciate the pur pose for which it is being car ried out. We trust that everyone will cooperate in providing the information requested." The visitors will meet at the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Here they will receive materials and a short briefing from Pastor A. W. Nelson who is in charge of the census. The churches cooperating in this venture are: Immanuel, Trin ity and Calvary Lutheran; Meth odist, Christian, Christian and Missionary Alliance, Assembly of God, Pilgrim Holiness and the Baptist churches.
