Mr. and Mrs. Jake Meng of
Baker Ore., are visiting with
friends and relatives in Jeffer
son and vicinity. The Meng
. family formerly resided in
" Jefferson. Mr. Meng is unable
to do hafd labor since his ill-
ness In which he had to take
months of rest.

Wcldon Swan is at home and
doing well after a month in the
Portland Sanitarium following
an accident at Cascade Locks
in which hia right shoulder was
broken. The injury was never
put in a cast, but was kept in
traction until the day before he
left the hospital.

Founders day was observed at
this meeting by the relating of
accomplishments of the organiza
tion since its founding.
The junior high chorus gave
two musical selections and the
girls trio also sang a selection.

to the nominating committee to
select officers for the 1954-55
term of P.T.A.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McVein are
the parents of a daughter born
Feb. 1 in the Lebanon Commun
ity hospital. Mr. McVein is the
new city patrolman.

dergoing treatment for a fractur
ed hip. She is able to be in a
wheel chair and her daughter,

planned by the women's club
and mothers of the pupils.
Five new circuits are being
brought from Salem to this
community by the Pacific Tele
phone and Telegraph company.

will continue in her work there
until school closes.
Mr. Grahams' employment Is
with the state tax commission and
his work will be in both Salem
