Kalrm, Orfgnn Sessions fo Open Tuesday The first session of the three- day convocation for ministers and Jsymen, Oregon Council of Churches, will be held at the Kirst Chrislian Church Tuesdsv afternoon when Dr. Henry Hilt Crane of Central Methodist Church, Detroit, Mich., speaks on the subject "The Modern Rele vance of Protestant Principles." This year's convocation Willi stress inspirational purposes rath er than formal business of the council. All sessions will be held at the First Christian Church. A two-hour panel and discus sion concerning the church's mis sion in world affairs will be held from 2:45 to 4:45 Tuesday after noon with C. A. Sprague, Salem: Dr. Paul Means, University of Oregon: Dr. U. C. Dubaeh, Lewis and Clark College; Bernhard Kcdde, American Friends Service, and Prof. Thomas Bennett, Wil lamette University, participating. Governor Paul L. Patterson will be the principal speaker at the banquet to be held at 6:30 Tuesday night. This will be fol lowed by a mass meeting at 8 o'clock when Dr. Crane will be the principal speaker. The convocation will extend through Wednesday and will close with a luncheon meeting Thursday noon with Bishop Stephen Bayne ol the Olympia diocese giving the address.
