George McCarty, who has been
a patient at the Veterans hospital,
Portland, since late October,
came home Tuesday for a two
weeks convalescent furlough. Mc
carty was injured when his car
overturned near Dallas and is
now on crutches while the wound

Bob left at once to aid in the
search and Mr. Duvall was found '
Thursday evening. He had cross
ed a stream and on his return
the water had risen and it was
impossible for him to cross so
he spent the night on the bank .

way to a cabin.
Mr. Duvall, a noted hunter and
trapper, had his cougar when
found but was quite ill and very
hungry
He was brought to his home
by a searching party.
