Crowfoot Votes
For Budget
LEBANON Crowfoot school vot
ers in the south district Tuesday
night unanimously approved a
budget of $199,692 for operation of
the schools at Crowfoot and Water
loo next year.
They approved plans to construct
a new eight-room unit complete
with covered play area at the Wa
terloo school during discussion
which followed budget approval.
Two sites in addition to the pres
ent school grounds at Crowfoot
were presented. These are the pres
ent wood lot on Russell Dr. near
highway 20, and the large open
field left of Russell Dr. east of the
railway tracks.
Discussed also was the adHil inn
of a new unit on the present 30
acre site of the Crowfoot school.
The voters recommended that an
election be held Feb. 9 from 2 to
8 p.m. to give each voter in the
district an opportunity to voice his
opinion on the choice of sites.
The school board indicated it
would select one of the two Russell
Dr. sites previous to the election
and the vote would then lie be
tween a choice of it, or addition
to the present school building.

Coffee Prices
ALBANY ro fill and refill
is a question among restaura
teurs in Albany concerning the
rising price or coffee. How
ever, levying a charge for i
coffee cup refill has been mak
ing an appearance In Albany
on the heels of the upping of
wholesale and retail coffee
prices.
A check with 13 Albany
restuarant operators revealed
that six recently begun charg
ing five cents or a dime for
the second cup, two are ex
tracting payment for the third
cup but not for the second,
and one has boosted his price
to a dime having been selling
it until recently for a nickrl.
Among the most popular
wayi to charge for coffee, res
taurant men indicate, is to
charge a flat five cents or ten
cents for each cup. Whether
the cost is five or ten cents de
pends on the restaurant.
The restaurant that upped
Its price from five to 10 cents
will give a free refill, it was
learned.
Even though Individuals and
congressmen are putting forth
an effort to keep coffee bib
bers from quenching their
thirst with six cups of coffee
a day business is still boom
ing at Albany coffee counters
but it has been noticed that
the patrons are selective in
going where they can get the
best deal on the price of a cup
of coffee or refills.
