Amnesia Victim Is Surprised COUNCIL BLUFFS. Iowa Wl Harold Long, who says he is an amnesia victim who came to his senses at Bonanza, Ore., wants to Know where he was between Nov. 13, 1953, and Jan. 18. 1934. A veteran who suffered'a serious injury in World War II, the 32 year-old Council Bluffs man said: "Maybe I did something wrong. If I did, I want to know. I want to know where I was and how I got to Oregon. How did I get money to go where I was? I could have written a bad check or done some thing. If anybody saw me during those two months, I wish they would let me know." He said he found himself last Monday night sitting on a highway near Bonanza, 25 miles east of Klamath Falls, Ore. His pickup truck had just been involved in a collision between two gasoline trucks. He then telephoned his wife in Iowa and began the trip home. 25 Ballots to Convict Owens ROSEBURG tin A circuit court jury deliberated 32 hours before findinq Bert Owens guilty of sec ond degree murder. Owens, 48. was accused of first degree murder in the gunshot slay ing of his Indian wife. Betty, 29, at their home at Riddle last Aug. 25. The jury took 25 ballot before announcing its verdict Saturday night. Owens Is to Be sentenced by Judge Carl E. Wimberly sometime this week.
