Chicago Grain
CHICAGO Iff Wheat pushed
ahead toward the finish on the
board of trade Monday when de
mand became quite aggressive.
Touching off the buying was
news 964,000 bushels of wheat had
been moved out of Chicago dur
ing the past week, reducing local
visible supply stocks to 12,796,000
bushels. It was believed most of
the grain which had been shipped
was red wheat.
There also was a feeling West
Germany would take some wheat
from the United States this week,
possibly Tuesday.
Other cereals firmed In sympa
thy with wheat although corn and
oats were not able to show much
of a gain. Soybeans responded to
news of a boost in cash bean
meal prices, possibly a result of
cold weather in the Midwest.
