Mr. Kirk recently was discharged
from the service and is a veteran

Coming Activities
Of Society Planned
Members of the AlUr society
of St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic
church met last week. Several
activities were planned for the
coming weeks. These will include
a series of quilting; th semi
monthly sewing meetings; a Sun
day night supper in the parish
dining room; and a noon lunch
eon followed by catdt. Also
planned was a rummage aale to
be over Greenbaum'a, on Feb
ruary 10, Mrs. C. J. Stupfel and
Mrs. B. F. Dimeter being the
committee in charge.

ren Knight observed their gold
en wedding anniversary on De
cember 23 at their home. Rela
tive and friend called during
afternoon and evening open
house hour.
The KnighU were married De
cember 23, 1903, in Wisconsin,
moving to Oregon 11 years ago.
They came here from Coos Bay
in 1945.
Assisting in serving were Mrs.
Charles Dennis, daughter, and
Mrs. Robert Arnold, granddaugh
ter. Their four children are Lowell
of Detroit, Mich., Leonard, Glen
dale, Calif., Mrs, Luther Dodwell,
Bismarck, N. D., and Mrs. Charles
Dennis, Coos Bay. There are 14
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
