White, and has taken posses sion. Grace Beach has returned from her California trip and is now able to keep her house work up and care for her mother, Cora Whitlaw, who lives with her here. The Falls City Home Ex tension unit held its meeting Tuesday, Jan. S at the Home Economics rooms In the high school. Mrs. J. R. Strauss and Mrs. Gene Walsh were the demonstrators. Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Gil bert won prizes. The Bridgeport Ladies club will meet at the home of Mrs. Ed Lange Tuesday, Jan. 12, with Mrs. Don Simon as co hostess. I prizes. The new baby has a brother Just past two years of age and sister 10 H months old. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dorn hecker are the parents of a son, their third child, named James Allen. Mrs. Dornhecker's mother, Mrs. Mary West brook of Dal las, is with her daughter at this time. The next Extension unit meeting will be Feb. Dr. Roben Maaske, presi dent of OCE, was speaker for the Tuesday noon meeting of the Monmouth Luncheon club held in the Monmouth hotel. His topic was, 'Tales of the Deep South" and told of his teaching experiences in North Carolina and travels in other southern states. John Horns, former art instructor at OCE, now taking graduate work at OSC was present. Mrs. Walter Baker is visit ing her children in and around St. Louis, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Selden Bria tow and two sons of Bend visited her mother and sister, Mrs. Mary Overholser and Mrs. Nona Ford over the week-end. Russell and devotions were given by Mrs. Earl Guenther. The group voted to hold their annual bazaar next De cember and work committees were named for the bazaar. The name of the organiza tion was changed to the La dies Aid. The Martha class party to be held on Friday, Jan. 19, was announced. The next Aid meeting will be held on Feb. 4 and hostesses will be Mrs. Lillian Dixon, Mrs. A. C. Miller and Mrs. G. Grover. School Health Nurse Kaluna gave the results of a recent den tal survey in the school and showed two films informing the public on how to reduce cavities in children's teeth.
