Rainfall for the year was 55 53
inches, the greatest amount to
fall rare since 1950, when the
total was 55.51 inch. Last yeare
orecipiution was about 10 inches
above the Albany average,
French reported.
Most precipitation for any one
month was in January when 11.47
inches of rain tell here. Decem
ber total was 7.54 and November
was T.1B inches. ... .
Hottest day of the year was
Aug. 14 when the official ther
mometer ead S3 degrees. Mini
mum temperature reading for
1853 waa on Feb. 24 when the
mercury slipped down to 26 deg
rees.

of the Sandy Boulevard Drive
in theater In Portland. This

manager of the new South Sa
lem Drive-in theater when it
opened, and in late summer
waa transferred to the North
Salem Drive-in theater.- He
continued to operate this thea
ter until It closed for the sea
son.
Mr. and Mrs. Schulz, together
with their children, Dennis and
Linda, are leaving Salem on
January 13 to make their new
residence at 5605 NE Rodney
street in Portland.
