A new 4-H club organized with
Swegle school pupils members
is a "Bird Feeders Club." Officers
are president, Douglas Harner;
vice-presideent, Ronald Alsman;
secretary. Steven Holler; song
leader, Gerald Gibb; reporter,
Michael La Due and leaders, Mrs.
Royal Wenig and Mrs. Harold Hol
ler. The next meeting will be
Jan. 6.
The Merry Mixers 4-H club held
their regular lesson meeting for
December at the home of Mrs.
J. A. Engebratson, with Karen
Englbretsen the hostess. Work
was on the projects, small cakes
and cookies. This group consists
of nine girls from Washington
School.
The Merry Stitchers December
meeting was at the G. Anderson
home. Several projects planned
for the holidays were completed.
This group has eight members.
A holiday house guest at the
Charles Jaync home on Lancaster
Dr. was his sister, Mrs. John Paul
Jones, who came by plane from
her home at Norfolk, Va. She al
so visited in Salem with families
of her brothers, Gordon and Ce
cil Jayne. Coming down for the
holiday reunion were their fath
er, Marion Jayne, and daughter,
June, from Aberdeen,' Wash.
Swegle Home Extension Unit
will meet Friday, Jan. 8, In Grace
Lutheran church on Sunnyview
Ave. Mrs. Warren Fisher will be
hostess. The meeting starts at
10:30 a m. with a' sack lunch at
noon. The project will be Simple
Home Repairs."
