Cory, who was acquitted last summer of a charge of kidnap ping Mrs. William Jones, the wife of his former attorney, gave notice of appeal before he was taken to the penitentiary. After the sentencing, Dlst. Atty. Robert M. Stults filed an habitual criminal charge against Cory.
