Ban Shipments
Of Cull Potatoes
Portland (ff) Shipment of
cull potatoes from producing
areas has been banned by the
Oregon-California marketing
agreement committee, Merrill
Webb, committee manager, re
ported Monday.
Producing areas effected by
the ban Include Jefferson,
Crook, Deschutes, Lake end'
Klamath coutles In Oregon and
Siskiyou and Modoc counties
la California.
Webb said that the order re
sulted from discovery that cull
potatoes shipped for livestock
feed bad been diverted to
other markets.

went on an overnight camp
ing trip to Helmlek atata park.
This trip was to help the boys
of Tenderfoot rsnk to make
second class. They were:

Jerry Hawley, Terry Copley,

made a five-mile hlge, cooked
their own food over open

Salem's Marine Corps Re

battery, this week received
the results from its sixth pistol
and sixth 'rifle match with
other Marine Reserve units in
the district

pistol match with a score of
10. The score of its oppo

Salem'a Marines have won
three of the six rifle matches

participated this year.
