The brida wort waltz
length dress of ChanUlly lace
over tulle and satin. The dress
was fashioned with a lace bod
ice, short lace sleeves, and a
tulle yoke. The chapel length
veil of illuston; net extended
from a Juliet cap of lace and
tulle. The bride wore a single
strand pearl choker, a gift from
the bridegroom. She carried a
cascade bouquet of white glad
ioluses. Attendant In Blue
Mrs. Eugene Coleman of
nuriu was matron of honor.
She wore a ballerina length
dress of deep blue taffeta with
net over skirt, and carried a
cascade type bouquet of rose
gladioluses.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ches
ter Tucker, Salem, Miss Kay

Gartner, The Dalles, Mrs. Har
old Smith, Carleton. They
wore Dale blue dresses made

Family Reunion
Event of bunday
The home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Sherman Coomler on Gar
den Road was the scene of a
family reunion, Sunday, 84 at
tending. In the group were
Mr. Coomler's eight children'.
18 grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.
Also attending were three of
Mr. Coomler s sisters, Mrs. Otto
Graff of Tacoma, Miss Martha
Kumler of Tacoma and Mrs.
Annette Foster of Kirkland,
Wish.; a brother, Ben Kumler
of Salem, and a niece, Mrs. El-
va Willson of La Porte, ma.
All of the brothers and sis
ters were in their 80s.

being in the Salt Creek Baptist
church with the Rev. Emanuel
Wolff officiating, assisted by
the Rev. Walter L. Penner of
the Mennonite Brethren church.
The bride wore a dress of
white taffeta designed with
round lace yoke, short sleeves
and a full skirt with a peplum
of lace. The fingertip veil of
illusion net was arranged from
a coronet of seed pearls. The
bride carried a white Bible on
which were arranged a white
orchid and a shower of stephan-
otis and satin ribbons.

playing the organ.

nia, the couple are at home at
1015 Clay street, Dallas.

man celebrated their 25th wed
ding anniversary Thursday with
a reception at Mayflower hill.
The group enjoyed squire
dancing and a late supper was
served. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Meier, son-in-law and daughter
of the Bowmans, assisted. Also
present was their son, Nick
Bowman.
MR. AND MRS. George B
Adams (Diana Arpke) and son,
George, Jr, have left for Mon
treal. Mr. Adams to resume
his work it McGill Medical
school. During the vacation
thev have been visiting his
parents. Dr. and Mrs. K. K.
Adams at Salem end her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick
Aroze in Seattle. Mr. Adams
was with the Bonneville ad
ministration near Seattle dur
ing the summer months.

At Church
On Sunday
Wed Sunday afternoon at a
double-ring service in the
Highland Avenue Friends
church, were Miss Patricia
Kieppinger, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Cleo Keppinger, Sr.,
and James DeLapp, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Lester DeLapp. The
service was it 3:30 o'clock, the
Rev. Paul Barnett officiating.
' Pink and white gladioluses
decorated the church. The mu
sic was provided by Jack
Snow at the organ; a duet by
Mr., and Mrs. Harlow Ankeny
and a solo by Miss Eleanor
Burton.
Lighting the candles were
Cleo Keppinger, Jr., and Lar
ry Keppinger, brothers of the
bride.
The bride, given In marriage
by her father, wore a dress of
embossed white nylon ever taf
feta, with fingertip sleeves,
a pointed collar and small but
tons down the front The train
was set in and completed
circle that folded into pleats
at the waist.- The fingertip
illusion veil was arranged from
a cap with single row of seed
pearls under the ' brim. Tne
bride carried a white Bible
with a lavender orchid and
stephanotis on it. Her pearl
necklace was a gift of the
bridegroom.

berc was matron of honor,
wearing a dress ol iridescent
pink taffeta. Bridesmaids were
Miss Florene Price. Portland;
Miss Nsncy Held, Portland,
and Miss Ethelwyne DeLipp
from Salem, a cousin of the
bridegroom. Their dresses
were all made alike only the
bridesmaids' were of Iridescent
wine taffeta.
The flower girl was Anita
Barnett. wearing a dress of
pink like that of the matron
of honor. All attendants wore
mitts of red net over pink and
blue to carry out the color
theme. They all carried crescent-shaped
bouquets of white
and Dink gladioluses. ,
Best man was Jonn wood
of Newberg and groomsmen,
his brother-in-law, Jarvie Mil
ler and cousins. Wesley and
LaVern DeLapp. .The ushers
were Harlan Barnett and Gary
Keppinger. Ringbearer wai
Jerry Miller, nephew of the
bridegroom.
The bride's mother wore an

with white accessories and the
bridegroom's mother wore a
royal blue crepe areas witn
lace trim and blue accessories

lawn of the home of the Rev.

Fox college, and were grad

working with his father. They

at the double ring morning
ceremony. The church was
decorated with gladioluses and
garden flowers from the bride's
mother s garden.
The bride wore a white lin.

and carried her white Bible
topped with an orchid. The
maid of honor, Miss Janet Con
net cousin of the bridegroom,
wore a pale blue suit with
white accessories.

guests and members of the two
families. Cutting and serving
the three-tiered cake was Miss
Sharon Burnett. Miss Ruth
Martin assisted serving the
punch and coffee, Miss Betty

the guest book and Mrs. Rich
ard Thill and Miss Mary Thill
were in charge of the gift table.

tress club convention which
convened in Portland July 12
to 16. Mrs. Vincent Starr and
Miss Lois Blum, who also at
tended the convention, gave
their version of the contests.

Stewart, and Mrs. C. Lobb,

Chill clams at the same time.
When ready to serve, empty
vlchysolsse into bowl; add
clams, including liquid from
can; stir well. Stir in milk end
cream. Serve sprinkled with
chives or parsier. Makes 4
servings.
