Miss Guggisberg Is
Married on Sunday

First Christian church for the
August 23 wedding of Miss
Evelyn Elaine Guggisberg and
Gene Arthur Beck. The cou
ple's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Charles F. Guggisberg and Mr.
and Mrs. Art Beck, all of Leb
anon. The Rev. Arlo Brlstow, pas
tor of the church, performed
the 3 p.m. nuptials. Mrs. Law
rence Page played the wedding
marches and, accompanied
tiaroia iteeves, soioisi.
Miss Guggisberg was given
In marriage by her father.
She wore a white satin and
lace dress with shoulder veil
and carried white rosebuds
and stephanotis.
Bridal attendants were Miss
Janice Addison of Eureka,
Calif., and Miss Joan Davis.
The former wore a gown of
pink lace and net. Miss Davis
was similarly dressed in blue.
Both carried sweet pea nose
gays. Misses Janette and Willette
Weller, twin sisters, were can
dlelighters. Best man was Bob Hinman,
and ushers were Bob Guggis
berg, Bob Christenson and
Dick Brannon.
The reception was in the
fellowship room of the church.
When they left for their
wedding trip to Carmel, Calif.,
the bride wore a yellow linen
fuit with brown accessories.
Wed August IS The wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle
Vrnon Thorup was an event of August 15 at. Treasure
Island chapel, San Francisco. The bride is the former Miss
Martha Steusloff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Steus
loff of Salem. In the group above are, left io right. Miss
Muriel Steusloff, attendant for her sister; the bride and
bridegroom, and Don Nelson, cousin of the bridegroom,
the bast mart. The couple will make thiir home at Mill

They will be at home in Eu
gene, where Mr. Beck is now
attending the University of
Oregon.

wed to Gordon O. Holum, son
of Mr, and Mrs. Jens Holum
of Canby,- Sunday afternoon.
August 16 at the home of her
parents.
