Albert Fel ler, of Turner, and George Loyal Schlegel, aon of Mr. and Mrs. womer bcmegel of Albany, Dr. Victor Hugo Sword offi ciated at the 8 o'clock service. Peter VanHorn aang, accom panied by Jean Hobson Rich. The church was decorated in varigated shades of lavender gladioluses and chrysanthe mums in white baskets, and white bows at every other pew. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white slipper satin dress with lace bodice and lace Inset down the front of the dress. The dress had a Peter Pan collar and a long train. The bride wore a fingertip veil and carried two large lavender orchids in net cascade. Mrs. Finn Svendsen was ma tron of honor. She wore a dress of lavender organdy over taf feta, and carried rubrum lilies, Best man was Darrell E. Erb. Ushers were C. D. Spencer, Jr., James Vance, Richard Feller. Mrs. Feller was dressed in blue faille with white acces sories and a corsage of white baby orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a dark gray dress with black accessories, and pink baby orchids. A reception followed the ceremony in the church parlors. Mrs. Clifford Mayer of Port land, aunt of the bride, cut the cake. Miss Lilly Feller and Mrs. Arthur Kriever poured, and as sisting were Mrs. C. D. Spen cer, Miss Joyanne Remington, Miss Ella Patterson, Mrs. Har old Swinford, Mrs. Robert Fel ler, Mrs. Darrell Lawrence and Miss Margie Cortz. For traveling the bride wore a navy blue butcher linen suit with white accessories and a lavender orchid. The couple left for the beach. They will be at home in San Francisco, Calif, where Mr. Schlegel is to be stationed at Hunter's Point with the navy. Lamoreaux of Portland, was an event of Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents in the Brush Creek district. Dr. Ida Rose Barber of Portland per formed the double ring cere mony. The bride wore a full skirted ballerina length frock of soft pink nylon and carried white roses. The flower girl, Miss Largo Lonl Loe, niece of the bride wore a sheer yellow dress, carrying a basket of blossoms. A buffet supper following the ceremony was served to Mr. and Mrs. D. Lamoreaux. Zook, pastor of the Church of Christ, read the wedding vows before 85 guests. The couple took their vows standing beneath an archway decorated with white wedding bells and greenery. Preceding . the ceremony a quartet composed of Mrs. Roy Miller, Mrs. Alvin Miller and Berle McTimmonds of Sheri dan and James Lorrew of Blaine sang. Gordon Pratt al so sang two songs. The bride wore ' a white moire taffeta dress with an ov erskirt of nylon net with white satin ribbon bows. The veil was held in place by a head band of pink pearls. Koe nig, aunt of the bride from Longview, Wash., cut the wed ding cake, assisted by Miss Bet ty Miller, sister of the bride groom. Mrs. Cecil Harrison poured coffee and Miss Doris Suhs served punch. Following a wedding trip to Mt. Rainier National park, the couple la at home in Roseburg. For their trip, the bride wore a light blue suit with white ac cessories. The couple will be at home In Roseburg, where the bride groom is employed at the VA hospital. At Golf Day Woodburn Twenty - seven women were out for play and luncheon at the Woodburn golf course, Thursday, with Jennie June Magnuson and Al etha Miller as hostesses at the luncheon hour. Special play for the day was a flag tournament with Elsie Cavett winning in Class A and Carol Coman in Class B. Plans were completed for a trip to Mt Hood for golf next Thursday, August 27. A char tered bus will leave at 8 a.m. from the highway bus depot and about 30 women are ex pected to make the trip, in cluding several from the Oak Knoll club. The fall tournament was dis cussed and it was decided to play qualifying rounds on Sep tember 17, which must be played on that day to be eli gible to play in the tourna ment.
