Oregon servicemen and their
families agreed today it was
on of the happiest days of
their Uvea when the navy
transport Gen.'Nelson M. Wal
ker arrived here yesterday
with 328 repatriated prisoners
of wax.
The three Oregon men, all
of whom had spent 33 months
In Korean prison camps, ware
greeted by their families in
gay reunion.
For Mrs. Francea Cci, 80,
Portland, it was one of the
happiest days of her life.

terious objects were sees
hovering around a large
northbound army plane In
the vicinity of Perrydsle at
7 p.m. Friday.
Witnesses of the phenom
ena were John Wlensi, his
daughter, Joanne, 18, and
eon, Loren, IT.
Mr. Wlenti said that
when he first noticed , the
sancerlike objects, one was
flying on each side of the
plane at a considerable dis
tance. Occasionally, he said, one
of the objects would maneu
ver at tremendous speed to
a point above the plane,
then swerve back to lis posi
tion alongside at a distance
of 446 or 506 feet
Within a very few min
utes, according to Wienss,
the plane and Its ghostly as-
nier, Ore., drowned In the
Cowlitz river near Longview,
Wash., Saturday when a email
outboard cruiser, in which be
was a psssenger, capsized.

drove here from Dayton, Ore,,
to meet the soldier. The 22-
year-old serviceman agreed
that it waa the "happiest day
of my life."
