This daring stunt is called
the flying head-on crash. In
this stunt, Jimmy Williams, a
famous daredevil, wearing only
a crash helmet and a safety
belt for protection, will race
his stock automobile down the
straightway, zoom up an in
cline, and while flying Into
space crash directly into two
or more cars in his path of
flight. This it the same atunt
which caused the death of the
famous stunt driver Harold
Pine of New Mexico. He was
killed during the performance
of the Jole Cnitwood show in
Ukiah, California on Sunday,
June 21 of this year. Margin for
error in doing this stunt is so
slight that the tllghtest mlscue
on the part of the driver will
bring disaster.

One world's, nine American
and all 11 meet swimming
records were broken.
It was only the second time
since 1040 the meet has been
held over the 55-yard distance,
thus many of the marks were
up for the first time in years,
Carolyn Green, a 19-year-old
freshman from Miami Univer
sity, broke the world's mile
freestyle record in 23:03.4 min
utes. She also won the 880-yard
freestyle title and was tecond
in individual tcoring with 21
pointt.

ed, cracked two records. Judy
Roberta of Indianapolis Athle
tic Club and Delia Muelenkamp
