Merchants Win City League Playoff With 7-C Victory The Salem Merchants won the City league play-offs last night with a 7-0 win over the Salem Used Car Dealers at Phillip's field. , Bob Knight snd Llod Jones locked in a terrific pitching duel for the first four innings with Jones giving up two hits and Knight three. Then the roof fell in for Jones as the Merchants slap ped out seven hits and scored six runs.
