10 o'clock. Weather permitting,
the event it to be in the gar
den! at the Anderson home.
Members of the Unitarian Fel
lowship are assisting in arrang
ing the affair.
The Teeples are visiting her
mother. Mrs. Henry Windedahl.
A graduate of Willamette, Mr.
Teeple will receive his doctor
ate at University of Chicago
this next spring.

It was reported at the Salem
Rebekah lodge meeting on
Monday evening that the Mar
lon County Odd Fellows an
nual picnic will be Sunday,
August B at Settlemier park in
Woodburn. Dinner will be at
1 o'clock.

Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
The L.E.A. will meet Friday
evening.

great grandfather is Edwin W,
Powers, Sr., also of Salem.
Picnic for Employes
Annual picnic for all Senator
hotel employes and their fami
lies was an event of Sunday at
the farm of Mr. and Mrs. W. W.
Chadwick. About 150 attended
the gathering. The dinner was
at 1 o'clock. The hotel coffee
shop was closed from 11 o'clock
on to enable all employes to
attend the picnic.
HOME from a month's stay
at the beach at Neskowin are
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Gerlinger
and daughters, Barbara and
Carol, the family returning this
past week-end.
VISITING this week at the

JUDY SCOTT, daughter of
the Floyd Scotts, returned this

soula, Mont, where she had
been on a vacation to visit her

Miss Kay Scherrer, daughter
of Mr .and Mrs. Jack Scherrer
of Salem, was honor guest at
a kitchen shower given by
Charlyn Ogle at her home
Monday evening. Games were
enjoyed and refreshments
were served.
Miss Scherrer is the bride-
elect of James Crosby, son of
Mrs. Robert Fowler of Jeffer
son. The wedding is planned
for September.

gene Prescott home, the sup
