A win tonight would give the title to the Merchants or a loss would send the play-off into a third game. The Merchants tallied three runs in the first inning on hits by Blsnton and Knight and two errors and two walks, They added two more in the second to take a 5-0 lead on a triple by Payne, a double by Vandevort, and an error.
