lhrougli Life Insurance now owned ,
hy 88 million men, women and children
The firit job ol life insurance is to
protect the family from the loss of the
breadwinner's earnings. It provides fi
nancial protection lex a man's family
and himself.
But, moneywise, life insurance does an
other thing that is important. It is Amer
ica's most widely used form of thrift.
Today 88 million people are putting aside
money for future delivery to their families
and themselves, through their life insur
ance. And they are doing it on a regular,
systematic way which is a fundamental part
of thrift.
Today there are policyholders in 3 out
of 4 families. These families, on the average,
are protected by more than five policies
apiece.
People tend to add to their life insurance
and therefore their program of thrift
as their income or needs increase.
So. universal has the use of life in
surance become that today it is an in
tegral part of family thinking and family
planning.
