Visiting with the Frank Moore family last week-end were Mr. and Mrs. George Stegmueller of Corvallis. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Schlador apent the Easter holiday in Corvallis visiting relatives and friends. Several former Detroit resi dents visited with friends last week end, including Perry Fry and children, Claudia and Butchie, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Payne and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Nelson and son. Comers A fourth an-' nual reunion, combined with four birthday anniversaries was an event of pleasure April 9 in the Harold Bonner home when Mrs. Bonner entertained for her small son, Roger. The guests were Mrs. Chaun cy LeVee and David, Mrs. Charles Linday and Jimmy and Mrs. Homer Kuper and Connie. The small foursome were all born March 25, 1949 and together with their moth ers occupied the same ward in the Salem General hospital. They have held a joint party on each anniversary and plan to continue the get-together each year. This year the meas les stepped in and Jimmy and David were unable to attend on March 25 postponing the party to April 9. With animal shows and fairs in the offing the 4-H Rickey Rustlers livestock club is a busy unit these days. The April of Mrs. Claude Beck. Guest at the meeting was Mrs. Ed Davis, former Mongold resident, who with her husband and children was visiting friends for a few days. The Davis family now lives in Olympia, Wash. meeting held in the R..L. Sta fek home, with nine members and their leaders present, cov ered many phases of the 4-H program. Members receiving life time - production sheets for breeding animals were Peter and Mike Lossner, Larry and Vernon Vogt, Darrel and Jer ry Stafek and Susan Swear ingen. Metal 4-H membership plates for each home were or dered. The next meeting will be May 8 in the C. A. Lossner home. The 4-H cooking clubs I and II have completed their pro gram to date. Janet Shipman and ' Kay Rehfeld from the Busy Bees and Leta and Gar net Thayer from the Sugar and Spice group presented the demonstrations. On May 7, the cooking II 4-H Salt and Pepper group will bake and serve the re freshments to the Lincoln school Mother's club. The Cooking I club will bake and exhibit cookies at this meeting. Keizer Keizer The April meeting of the Cub Scout Mothers was held at the home ot Mrs. Avis Winters, with 20 mothers pres ent Costumes for the coming Scout circus were planned. The Cuba are to meet Saturday afternoon, April 11, to practice marching. They will meet at the Keizer school. At the close of the meeting . refreshments were served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Franz, 4400 N. River Rd., on May S. James Hart, son of Mr, and Mrs. Elbert Hart, left Tuesday for Fort Lewis, where he will be Inducted into the armed service. James went through school in Salem and has been employed at the Marvin Lewis station on South Liberty St. The Harts moved to the Keizer district four years ago. Celebrating his 10th blrth i.y on March 27, was Roger Romig with a party at the home of his parents. Guests helping celebrate wera David Pierce, Patrick Miller, Sharon Lowery, Linda Peyton, Steven Sipprell, Kenneth Nielson, Jimmy Mo gle, Karolyn Burright, Drena Meeks, Hugh Walkup, Marlyn Mulkey, Billy Walker, Carolyn Billings, Deloris Copley, Stan-' ley Franz, Jim Shepard, Steven Schneider, Richard Adams and Vicki Romig. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Morrison, 780 Dearborn Ave., the past week end were his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Morrison of Tacoma, Wash. The Missionary society of the Keizer Community church met at the home of Mrs. Ben Mc Connell, 1210 Clear View Ave., Tuesday, April 7. A lunch was served by the hostess to Mrs. J. L. Crouch, Mrs. Edgar Saw yer, Mrs. A. L. Roher, Mrs. Robert Goertz, Mrs. Charles Ross, Mrs. Anna French, Mrs. O. G. Salter, Miss Flora Sears, Mrs. Paul Giels and Mrs. L. A. Wood. ' .The Keizer Sewing club will meet for a day of quilting at the home of Mrs. J. H. Jen nings, 636 Belmont St., in Sa lem, Thursday, April 16. There also will be a plant sale at this meeting. The Keizer Scout Mothers club will meet Monday, April 13, at the home of Prlscilla Shattuc, 882 Sunset Ave. Ev eryone is reminded to bring a plant, which will be sold at this meeting. Members are also re minded to bring their coffee bands. Dale Wood was surprised on his 16th birthday, April 7, when a dinner was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wood, 675 Dearborn Ave., in his hon or. Guests invited were Steve Crouch, Wayne Murphy, Frank Vallereux, Donnie Stettler and David Adams. - He received many gifts. Dale has spent ll of his 16 years In the Keizer district.
