treasurer, Mrs. C. F. Wells. The
group voted to pay the registra
tion fee at the state conventions
each year.
A vote of "thanks" was given
to Cecil Hultman and Victor
Bride for wood donated for the
hall.
A committee was appointed to
buy material for a new porch,

An invitation to attend a coun
ty meeting October 8 at Mt. Fis
gah with potluck dinner was
read. The speaker will explain
"Crop Insurance."
A meeting will be held at the

on the irrigation project.

buildings for Polk county fair
grounds.

speakers on the measures to be
voted on November 4 will be

first fall meeting of Buena Vista
Womans club in the community
hall Wednesday. A letter from
Dick Loy was read in which he
thanked the club for his scholar
ship at the 4-11 summer school
at Oregon State college. It was
voted to pay for material for the
new porch, which the farmers
union will build. Hostesses for
the day were Mrs. Clara Wells
and Mrs. Walter Licrman. Guests
'were Mrs. Howard Wells and
Mrs. Dane Purvine of Corvallis
and Mrs. Maud Johnson.
