Notice is hereby given that the Com
mon Council of the City of Salem, Mar
lon County. Oregon, has declared its in
tention to vacate and has Initiated pro
ceeding to vacate the following street, to
wn:
That part of McNary Avenue In West
Salem, Ore on, from the northerly
line of Eighth Street to the northly
city limits, of what was lormerly West
Salem.
That said proceedings were initiated by
said Common Council on the 13th day of
February, 1950. That a public hearing
will be had In connection with said pro
ceedings, for the purpose of hearing and
considering all objections and remon
strances to said proceedings. That said
hearing will be held at the chambers of
tho City Council In the City Hnll in Sa
lem, Oregon, on the 27th day of March,
1950, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M.
thereof.
That tho owners of any real property
affected by said proceedings may be
heard st said time, and that tho real
property affected thereby shall be deem
ed to be the land lying on either side of
the street or portions thereof extending
laterally to the next street that nerves as
a parallel street, but In any case not to
exced 200 feet, and the land for a like
tateral distance on either side of the
street for 400 feet along its course beyond
each terminus of the part proposed to be
vscsted.
