Leading issues moved up frac
tions to around a point follow
ing a short period of hesitation
when the market opened.
More business was done for s

best showing but the day's sales
were far from impressive. Turn
over was at the rate of around
700,000 shares for the full ses
sion, which would compare with
350.000 yesterday, one of the
smallest totals in recent years.
Neither buying or selling in
terest ever became pronounced.
