Expert Attention Offered
Woman With Heart Ailment
Oklahoma City, April 5 U.R) Mrs. Heart, doomed to die within
a year, was in seclusion today despite an offer of an expert ex
pert examination by the New York Heart association which might
save her life.
She said medical authorities have told her she will die of a
heart ailment within 12 months.''
The Sl-ycar-old widow said gram to the Oklahoman. "I re

and diagnosis at no cost to you."
A spokesman for the newspa
per said the second appeal had
not yet been passed on to Mrs.

Mrs. Heart appealed through
the Daily Oklahoman last week
for aid in spending $10,000 "to
have the most fun" in her final
12 months. Three days later,
overwhelmed by the number of
replies, she went to a sanitor
ium in a neighboring city.
Only the Oklahoman knew
Mrs. Heart's identity. She pre
ferred lo remain anonymous, she
said, because she didn't want her
friends lo sympathize because
she was going to die. The news
paper zealously guarded her se
cret. Yesterday the Oklahoman re
ceived a letter from Mrs. Louis
"Finer, vice-chairman of the New
York Heart association.
"We want you to keep the
$10,000 and live for 50 years,"
she wrote.
Advised of Mrs. Heart's
taunch desire to remain anony
mous, Mrs. Baer made a second
offer.
