Early Losses
Chicago, March 28 W Grains
recovered from an early selloff
on the board of trade today.
Prines dropped rather sharply in
active dealings in the first half
hour, but then started a slow,
persistent upturn. Before the
close practically everything had
gone above Saturday's finish.
Initial selling came mainly
from commission houses, repre
sented a continuation of the li
quidation which got underway
Saturday and appeared to be
based upon doubts concerning
the government's wheat buying
policy. But the commodity cre
dit corporation said it was still
in the market for wheat "in-
store," which some traders had
doubted.
Wheat led the advance. Other
grains followed.
Wheat closed :! i -1 higher,
