There'll be a top brand of at Sweetland field when Salem high's victory hungry Vikings get down to business with Springfield's Millers. The Viks are primed to reverse their 1948 record when they take to the field at 8 p.m., but the Millers' record has shown improvement, too, and the Springfielders have as much at stake in the game as the Salem team. Coach Loren Mort, whose team, even in defeat, has shown a tenacious defense, has worked the crew this week to polish an offense for the Springfield game. The game Friday night, while strictly a cellar club affair of the Big Six league, is expected to show two improved and de termined clubs to Sweetland field fans.
