Justice Court Trials Are Set Silverton From the records of the justice court of Judge Alt. O. Nelson this week Orlando Jerry Cox pleaded not guilty to a charge of selling intoxicating liquor without a license, furnish ed $250 bail. Trial May 9, at 9 a.m. Mrs. Frances Osborn on same charge, plea of not guil ty, to be tried May 8, 9 a.m , released on $500 bail, represent ed by Tyrone Gillispie. Both cases brought by the state liquor commission. Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas arrested on charge of contribut ing to delinquency of their own son in not sending him to school, not clothing the boy properly and the mother "spending too much time in beer parlors." Both released on own recogniz ance because of a small child among the several children, un til May 10, 9 a.m. Arrest made by Constable O'Brien. Local au thorities said this was a warn ing to others in Silverton that children must be cared for rea sonably well. A group of five Mt. Angel youths from 12 to 15 years of age, apprehended by Constable O'Brien, on charges of delin quency, will be before the local justice court May 10, 10 a.m., the offense was concerning the use of a motor vehicle. Three logging offense charges were listed against Wesley M. Gatchett. Fined $37.50 and costs on overweight; $10 and costs on overheight; and $10 and costs on overwidth on log trucks be ing operated for Freeman Gatchett. Living up to his admonition of submitting to voluntary inter diction as the finale of a for mer case, H. J. Lehr paid $150 fine and costs in Judge Nelson's justice court on a charge of dis orderly conduct.
