Corn was under moderate pressure most of the session, reflecting fairly liberal arrivals in cars and an expan sion of offerings by the coun try. Wheat shower more strength than corn, although trade was light. Prospects of an early settlement of the maritime strike created some buying by local traders. Oats, lower early, rallied toward the close when a short covering movement got underway in the nearby deliver ies. Cash dealers reported they purchased more than 200,000 bushels of corn on a to-arrive basis from the country. Wheat closed unchanged to a cent higher, January $2.02, corn was lower to higher, Jan uary $1.365s-34, and oats were Vi lower to 1 cent higher, No vember 82-. 79,698 Bales Oregon Hops Certified Official certificates on 79,698 bales of the Oregon, 1946, hop crop had been issued by the state hop analytical laboratory up to the close of work October 24, the state department of agricul ture reported Friday.
