1923 when it was moved to
Donald, the present location, due
to the fact that Butteville had
no bank, was located' on a ru
ral route and phone service and
accommodations were inade
quate to handle the business of
the association. At that time
Donald, located on the Oregon
Electric, had the advantage of
a good mail service and also
a bank and it was voted to move
the office to that place. The
Oregon Electric has discontin
ued its service and Donald now
receives its mail through rural
pouch delivery from Aurora.
The bank was discontinued a
number of years ago and all
banking of the association is
now done by mail. Telephone
service and other accommoda
tions are inadequate.
Woodburn, located on the
main line of the Southern Pa
cific and having excellent mail,
phone and banking service In ad
dition to adequate accommoda
tions for meetings of agents and
members, it is hoped that the
membership will approve the
move by being present and vot
ing at the meeting to be held
at Donald Wednesday.
