ages against the South Hoover hospital and others charging they
were told when their baby was born it was a boy but when they
brought it home it was discovered the baby was a girl. The suit
also asked for the return of teir own baby. Mrs. Hardwing holds
the baby girl while Mr. Hardwing holds the notarized birth
certificate made out for "Richard Allen Hardwig."

Burlcnshaw will celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary at
their home, 70 Eaton street, with
an open house, to which their
friends have been invited Sun

The Burtcnshaws were mar
ried on July 26, 1893, in Leb
anon, at the home of Mrs. Burt
enshaw's father, John C. Eaton,
which is just across the street
from where they now live, with

Mrs. Burtenshaw's mother,
Mrs. Lucy A. Stoops, who was

Mr. Burtcnshaw was born
near Scio. and was the son of

shaw, who were present for the
wedding. Mrs. Burlenshaw was
born in Nebraska. Most of the
couple's married life has been

Japanese soldiers swing from
trees and scream and call out
through the night. The firsts
few tastes of this, and the knife
wielding, brought orders for
American soldiers and marines
moving in on Munda from the'
east to hit it for a foxhole at
dusk and stay there regardless.
As many as a half-dozen en
emy soldiers will climb the tall !
banyan trees around a camp.
Dark starts the uproad. The
Japanese holler, "Hey, Jim,
Where's your foxhole?" There's
no reply. They keep calling
names at random.
Decoy Calls Sound
Getting no response, they rat
tle the branches around their
tree perches and bang their hel
mets, yelling. "The Japs are com
ing the Japs are coming! Or,
they'll say, "Oh, Bill, fire a'
couple of rounds Into that bush,
on the left." Any American'
that falls for the decoy calls
and gives himself away, Is
plunged upon by a creeping en
emy or is on the receiving end
of a 25 caliber slug. "
Sometimes the Japanese
crawl on hands and knees Into '
a camp, starting a fight In a
foxhole hoping Americans will
knife each other. But regard-.-,
less of the commotion, these '
boys stick tight to their own
spots. Reunion Arranged
For Mountain Home ,
Dayton There were 20 peo-
pie who attended the annual,
reunion of the Mountain Homo
church and Sunday school held
all day Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. D. Lynn Gubscr at
McMinnville.
These were members and He-'
cendants of members of the
organization before 1000. Mrs.
Emalinc Vincent, SO, of New
hcrg, was the eldest and Burlyn
Ross Gubscr, two months old,
of McMinnville, was the young- -est
member present.
When Mrs. Vincent's people
came to that district in 1876
there was no church or Sunday
school closer to I hem than at
