Rally Arranged
By Young People
Sllverton The annual Washing
ton's birthday young people's rally
for the Oregon District of the
Christian and Missionary Alliance
will be held Saturday, at the Im.
manuel Lutheran church. Due to
this holiday falling on a SaUir
day, there will be only two meet
ings. The morning service will be
at 10:30 and the afternon service
at 9 o'clock.
The pastor, Rev. R. R. Irwin says:
"We are fortunate In having Mrs.
R. O. Stull as our speaker for the
day. Mrs. Stull has spent about
eight years as a missionary under
our society in Peru, South America.
God has given Mrs. Stull a remark
able ministry among the young peo
ple of our country, both In col
leges and high schools, we are look
lng forward to a time of great
blessing. Although this rally Is be
ing sponsored by the young people
of the Christian and Missionary Al
liance church, all young people of
any church are Invited to attend
these two inspirational services."

Attract Interest

composed of Norwegian singers, Is
already attracting favorable atten
tion.
Alvin Almqulst has been made
president, and Floyd Ellefson. head
of the school music department, Is
to direct the group. Mrs. Arthur
Dahl will serve as piano accompan
ist. C. J. Towe is historian, Max
Holland librarian and Henry Hol
land as secretary-treasurer.
Among the singers are a number
of trained voices. Mr. Ellefson Is well
known throughout the middle west
and the coast states as a director.
