Burgunder Wednesday repudiated
two confession that he murdered
two automobile salesmen, and stuck
to bis contention that mother man
was the killer.
On the witness stand for the third
day, the 11-year-old pokar-playlng

were only two avenue ahead of him

For the fust tun Burgunder lost
his stony composure and wept as he
read to the Jury letter written him
on his 31st birthday by his father,
Robert M. Burgunder of Seattle.
As the youth read the fatherly
advice hi failed to heed, hi vole
broke and tear tilled hi eye.
Hi parents bowed their head as
he continued to read In choked
voice.
Burgunder's attorney handed him
another letter, but the youth aald,
"I cant read that now." Later he
regained hi composure and read a
third letter from hi mother.
When cjoat-ezamlnatlon began,
Burgunder parried the prosecutor's
question and refused to be shaken
from hi story.
