Miss Judson
To Marry
Jack Kuhn
The chapel in St. Paul's Episco
pal church will be the scene ol a
charming ceremony at 8 o'clock
Saturday evening when Miss Mil
dred Judson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. E. Judson, becomes the
bride of Jack K. Kuhn, son of Mayor
and Mrs. V. E. Kuhn. Rev. Oeorge
H. Swift, rector of St. Paul's, will
read the Impressive service In the
presence of the two Immediate fam
ilies and a group of intimate friends.
Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Har
ry Judson of Seattle will sing. Mr.
Judson will play the wedding march
es. The bride will wear a smart mo
del of Santa Anita blue, fashioned

natching hat and a corsage of ros
es, mere win oe no attendants.
After a short wedding trip the
couple will reside at 695 North 5th
street.
Miss Judson attended Salem
schools and is popular In the youn
ger set. Mr. Kuhn Is a graduate of
Oregon State college and a member
of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Birthday
Mrs. L. J. Armpriest was honored
upon the occasion of her 79th blrth-
Sday Tuesday when Mrs. Cart Arm
priest entertained at tea. Spring
flowers In the pastel shades were
arranged about the rooms. At the
tea hour , Mrs. Fred Armpriest as
sisted the hostess.
Bidden to greet the honor guest
were Mrs. Frank Cornett, Mrs,
Charles Byre, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs.
James Stewart, Miss Ruth Parsons.
Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Fred Arm-
priest and the hostess, Mrs. Carl
Armpriest.

Visitors Here
Interesting guests in Salem are
Mr. and Mrs. James Rawe of Buf
falo, N. Y., who are dividing their
time between the Harry Rowes and
Mr. and Mrs. Forrest B. Lloyd.
Monday Mrs. Rowe and the out-of-town
folk motored to Portland and
Bonneville dam. Tuesday Mrs. Rowe
entertained informally for the vis
itors and this evening they will all
be guests at dinner of the Lloyds.
The affair will celebrate the 78th
birthday anniversary of Mrs. Mar
garet Lloyd.

Mrs. Clarence Emmons and Miss

to the Beta Chi alumnae club

Rotary Women To
Hear Of China
Women of Rotary will gather at
the Tea House for luncheon Mon
day at 1:30 o'clock. Mrs. Stan
ley Chin of Portland, well-known
traveler and club woman, will speak
