ARIZONA JOINS CALIFORNIA FOR GAS TAX DRIVE Phoenix, Alls, IP Arizona's gas oline tax fund, probably will Increase Uils year because the California leglslaturs adopted an emergency measure designed to curb the jug gling of interstate gasoline ship ments with a view of evading state taxes. The tax In California is 1 cents per gallon on gasoline sold in the state. Gasoline purchased for Inter state shipment Is not taxed. The Arizona tax Is a cents a gallon. Some dealers. Being an emergency measure, the new law Is now effective. The benefit to Arizona is that California's close supervision of gas oUne sales, under the new law, will prevent dodging this state's sales tax. Bustling factories will teach of the work of men and machines. .The village farms and wide, rolling prairies will reveal the magic ol nature and the treasures that lie beneath the soil. Everywhere through first-hand contact they will learn more about the great country in which they live. Thrown a great deal on their own resources yet not too much they will 'develop a poise and self-reliance they could get in no other way. The theory of books will become the actuality of fact. Each night they will sit down and write a letter telling what tfiey have seen and what they have done in that particular day. And two proud parents at home will read and envy and prepare perhaps to set forth on a similar adventure.
