This is an annual event carried down from year to year since the building of the high school. Tt.e seniors celebrated their rlc tory by a marshmallow roast around the bonfira. Sentinels were placed on guard until daybreak to prevent the juniors from erasing their work. After 2 o'clock in the morning all was quiet on the school grounds. WAGONDA CLUB GIVES RELIEF TO NEEDY ONES Waconda Mrs. Charles M. Hall and Mrs. Henry C. Stafford were joint hostesses Wednesday after noon when they entertained the Waconda Community club and five .special guests at the Stafford home near waconda. After the business session one comfort was tied. Others In the HTonp were occupied with' needle wot lc on Christmas articles. Mrs. Robert Cole has charge of the Christmas cheer committee and many pretty and useful articles have been made under her direc tion. A report of another -destitute family in the community was made and a committee was appointed to investigate and give aid. Several articles were given for the charity chest. A distribution of the chest is to be made at Christmas time. The hostesses were assisted at the tea hour by Mrs. Eugene W. Man ning, Mrs. Richard Tuve and Mrs Frank Peltoc Special guests for- the- afternoon were Mrs. Frank MaitheSy Mrs. Howard Booster and son, Dean Emerson Booster, and Mrs. Eugene W. Predrriekson who had died in Haley, Idaho and had been brotifftat here for burial.
