PROGRAM FOR
NEW YEARS AT
Y1.C.A. BUILDING
Details of the special ' New
Year's day program to be held ot
the Salem Y- M. C. A. buildiug
were mude public this morning.
The program will be given to take
the place of the usual open house
given at the first of the year. Open
houee will be held in the new
building, probably some time in
April, Y. M. C. A. officials state.
At former open house programs
8s niauy as 2000 persons have been
in attendance.
The program to be held Friday
will begin with a special basket
ball game, played In the forenoon
between & local team and a team
from Jeffersori.
At 1:30 p. m., the prep leaders
will meet the Shamrocks In a bas
ketball tilt. Semi-finals in the
consolation basketball series will
he held at 2:30 and at 3:30 p. m.,
the first game between the Night
Juniors of the Leslie Methodist
church and the second between
the Creeks and the Orcgtyi Jour
nals. The two winning teams will
play for the consolation title at
t:30 in the evening.
At 6 p. m., there will be a game
of exhibition volley ball, the game
being -played between business
men's teams headed by Dr. L. E.
Durdick and Paul Acton.
At 7:30 p. m., the most Import
ant game of the day and of the
tournament which has been in pro
gress since Inst week, will be
staged. The game will be the fin
als in the tourney.

the justice on account of the case.
One fee of (1 for n transcript is
specifically attacked in the com
plaint as having been made with
out authority from the county
court or anyone elso having power
to grant such authority. Reason
for attack ugainst the balance of
the fund is not given. The com
plaint has not yet been filed, but
tentative draft of it has been
made.
