Somebody in Albany Is very de
sirous of adopting a Salem baby.1
A letter to this effect has been
received by Dr. Henry Morris of
this oity. Just why the applicants
a man and wife in comfortable
circumstances send from Albany
to Salem for a new member of the
family, Is not tieing explained by
Dr. Morris. It might sound too
much like civic egotism, he says.
The full tvxt of the letter reads
as follows:
"Dr. H. E. Morris, .
Dear Sir:
"I was in to see you lost spring
in regard to adopting a baby girl,
and as I haven't heard from you
I thought I would remind you of
It again. You put my address
down, I think in the phone book.
"Now I would like to have a nice
healthy baby girl from 6 months
to a year and a half old. I hope
you will remember me, and I will
be very glad.
"We hve lived hero in Albany
for 17 years, own our own home,
and some .other property besides."
