would among one of the first
things I did help to enact a law
making It compulsory for every
person able and well to attend
church at least two times a month,
and children to attend Sunday
school three times a month, where
possible. Of course this would be
called radical and unconstitution
al at the start, but If It required
attendance to church services as
a qualifier for office gradually
and steadily Oregon would be get
ting better, and by leap and
bounds all opposition would fado
away.
